Dear Colleagues :
Undoubtedly, this is a wonderful initiative . Moreover, it will allow people working in this field to take advantage of the knowhow accumulated by their colleagues and, thus, will avoid the need to reinvent the wheel.
In order to promote this activity, I decided to require my students to follow these guidelines in their reports ( lab notes, theses, publications ). I suggest that we all do so.
